I’m looking for a reliable person for occasional walks with my dog, Bruno. He is a rescue dog, very sweet and generally friendly with other dogs, but he can become overexcited and reactive when on the leash. His reactivity mainly comes from enthusiasm as well as some underlying fears, so it’s important that the person has some experience, is patient, and respects his boundaries.

The goal is not only to help with walks, but also to help Bruno build trust with other people and learn that strangers can be safe and positive. I work from home, but I’d like him to gradually and calmly get used to being around other people.

He is not good with cats, so that’s an important consideration. Aside from that, he’s a very loving dog, although he can bark quite loudly when excited.

I’m looking for someone calm, attentive, and with a positive approach, who is comfortable handling a reactive dog and willing to help build his confidence.
